Marjo Dill

About the artist

My style of work is also characterized by my interest in human and psychological dimensions, which are often translated from the organic shapes of our body. The work encompasses more than just form, but encompasses metaphorical associations, and symbolism. By reducing the human body to a container or minimal shape, the creations are centered on an emotion or an expression. Sometimes you can feel the tension that despite their size almost have a will to grow, so that you can easily imagine mining sculptures in the center of a city or landscape. For me, sculpture is the most abstract way to study.

Vision: I do not follow trends, big logos, surpluses, and prefer unique sculptural objects, or in a limited edition. I believe in a sustainable world, where waste is a source of material, things are produced close, and craftsmanship remains valued.
